All About Me
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and my earliest culinary inspirations trace back to weekends spent at my great-naña’s kitchen in Tucson. Her kitchen was filled with the comforting aromas of freshly made dishes, and I was often by her side, watching, learning, and savoring her warm, homemade flour tortillas faster than she could roll them out. After her passing in 2010, I found myself searching for the unique flavors and memories her cooking brought to life.

Growing up as a latchkey kid in the '90s and early 2000s, my afternoons weren’t spent with cartoons or music videos but with culinary icons. Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations and the Food Network became my virtual classrooms. I meticulously jotted down recipes, flavor profiles, and knife techniques, and then eagerly experimented with them in my kitchen.

My culinary journey expanded further when I began cooking alongside my mother-in-law, a former restaurant owner from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She introduced me to the rich diversity of Mexican cuisine—a tapestry of flavors, spices, chiles, and regional specialties that went far beyond the familiar staples of meat, cheese, and tortillas. Her mentorship reignited my passion for exploring the stories behind food, much like my childhood days in my naña’s kitchen.

Anthony Bourdain’s philosophy of food as a universal connector deeply influenced my approach to cooking. He taught me that food is more than sustenance—it’s a way to bring people together, express love, and honor cultural traditions.
As your personal chef, I strive to create more than a meal; I craft an experience. My cooking reflects the heart and soul of my naña’s kitchen, blending tradition, authenticity, and passion to bring you a taste of my story—and perhaps, a little magic of your own.
My Philosophy
Amazing food begins with exceptional ingredients. Whenever possible, I prioritize locally sourced produce and high-quality organic meats, supporting local farms and growers in the process. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be costly, bland, or uninspiring. The saying goes, “You are what you eat,” and I firmly believe that nourishing your body with wholesome, flavorful food helps you feel your best. When you feel good, you radiate positivity and put greatness into the world.
